Recreational Dance

Our recreational classes welcome all young individuals who wish to explore the fundamentals of dance technique, rhythm, and musicality while improving cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, strength, and coordination. It's a great opportunity to learn new skills in a refreshing and enjoyable atmosphere, surrounded by peers of similar age and with no prior experience required.

 

As part of our program, students have the option to take examinations if they desire. To ensure safe practice, participation in at least 1 Classical Ballet and 1 Modern Dance class per week, along with 2 Body Conditioning classes, is recommended.

Classes

Body conditioning is a 45-minute class in which exercises are designed to develop cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, strength and coordination. The classes will highlight the areas that need extra attention to improve a dancer's technique.

 

Conditioning is the best way to manage the physical demands of dance and enhance a dancer's performance abilities.

When the body is physically fit, it will be better equipped to perform the technical

requirements of dance and unleash your full artistic potential.​

Body Conditioning

Classical Ballet

Grade Examinations in Classical Ballet are offered for students. 

​

Dance requires patience and continual training over time. It is recommended that the commitment for students studying for the Grade examination need to participate in a minimum of two dance classes a week. Additional coaching will be available on request closer to exam time, should it be necessary. Dance examinations are a way of measuring progress and rewarding effort.


Weekly Body Conditioning classes are highly recommended as these classes complement the dance training and promote safe and healthy training.

Modern Dance

Grade Examinations in Modern Dance are offered for students. 

​

Dance requires patience and continual training over time.
